When you are living your design, it is literally mechanically impossible to not love yourself.
You don’t even have to try, it’s simply a byproduct of authenticity and alignment. A lack of self-love is a signpost that you don’t actually know who you are, because you are trying to be somebody else.
Every design is absolutely brilliant. Genius. I've never seen a chart that is boring or unimpressive.
If you aren't in total awe and admiration of yourself, it's not because you're not awe-worthy. It's because you're not being yourself.
If you’re trying to be something you’re not, naturally you will not be very good at that.
For example: I have motivation innocence and a completely open ego. When I try to operate strategically and prove my value, it doesn't work very well, and I do not like the person I am being. I feel insecure and incompetent, and embarrassed by my impact.
When I let go of my mind’s false agenda, embrace my innocence and remember that I have nothing to prove, I am so amazed by the creativity and awareness that comes through me. I fascinate myself. I love my impact and I love the way that I connect to others. Inhabiting this vehicle is so much fun, being me is endlessly amusing, I wouldn't trade it for anything!
If you're a non-sacral being ignoring your body's limits and trying to keep up with the Generator world, you don’t get to meet your true self. There’s no space for your true self to emerge, because your energy is occupied elsewhere. You only know your fake Generator self.
If you have an open root and you're always rushing, you likely aren’t aware of the magic you could create if only you would slow down. You’re constantly rushing into commitments instead of waiting for truly aligned opportunities. You work quickly and sloppily. But, that’s not you!
When you surrender to your true nature, self-love inevitably follows.
Learn to respect the limitations of your vehicle. Wait when it’s time to wait. Rest when it’s time to rest. Honor your strategy. Say yes when your authority is a yes, and no when it’s a no.
This can feel highly uncomfortable at first. But if you stick with it, you unlock a brilliance beyond anything you knew you were capable of.
If you wrestle with self-love, I highly recommend Human Design.
If you're already rooted in deep self-love and you want to fall even more madly in love with yourself, I also recommend Human Design.
And I’m talking about real self-love, that stems from deep self-knowledge and intimacy with your essence. Not the false confidence you get when others validate you for doing a solid job pretending to be something you’re not.
